GUEST: REVA COOPER
“BROOKLYN: FROM MAJOR HISTORY TO MAJOR HIP”
Brooklyn – Dutch colonial town, major player in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, third largest US city, industrial center, troubled borough, and now upscale celebrity hub – has gone through a fascinating and surprising series of stages. We will travel through almost 400 years of the story of New York’s largest borough, leading up to today’s magnificent architecture, vibrant diversity, and the exciting cultural life of its many neighborhoods.

REVA COOPER, a native of Brooklyn and now once again a resident, is a licensed tour guide who hosts history and culture walks through neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan through her company The Heart Of New York Culture. As an arts promoter for almost 40 years, she publicized and marketed Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, concerts with leading artists in classical, jazz and popular music, major dance companies, visual arts, films and arts education.

Please register by June 19.

There is no charge to attend but a donation of $10, $18 or $36 to benefit Youth Aliyah is appreciated.

The Zoom link will be sent out the day before the meeting.

Support us with a donation.
