Thursday, February 3, 2022: Our first session will feature researcher Rodi Franco, whose research focuses on two divergent groups, the conservative far right and progressive far left. Rodi will address why those on the far right and far left are united in their antisemitic beliefs and what steps the Jewish and interfaith community can take to combat antisemitism. Rodi's three-decade career in nonprofit marketing includes Chief Marketing Officer for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. She holds an MLS and MBA and is currently an adjunct instructor at Bauer Business/University of Houston and a new grandma. In Houston, Rodi has been a board member and active volunteer for her synagogue, Jewish Family Services, Hadassah, and the National Council of Jewish Women, among other organizations.

Wednesday, February 16, 2022: Our second session will feature Detective Sanford Shulder of the Suffolk County Hate Crimes Unit, who will discuss ongoing hate crimes against Jews. Detective Shulder is a 29-year veteran of the Suffolk County Police Department and has work in the Hate Crimes Unit for 20 years. Throughout his career he has worked on many high-profile cases and given numerous presentations to various schools and organizations.

RESCHEDULED: Tuesday, March 29, 2022: Our final session will feature Alexander Rosemberg, the Anti-Defamation League’s NY/NJ Deputy Regional Director. Mr. Rosemberg’s work primarily focuses on incident response, government, law enforcement, and campus affairs, as well as the ADL’s work with foreign diplomatic missions. He regularly participates in the NJ Interfaith Advisory Council and is often quoted in national media on issues related to hate crimes and extremism.
