Join Hadassah Smithtown chapter for an in-person visit to the Center for Social Justice, Human Understanding, and the Holocaust at the Suffolk County Community College, Ammerman Campus at the Huntington Library Building.

Our speaker will be Professor Emeritus Steven C. Klipstein. Professor Klipstein recently retired after over forty-nine years in the English department at Suffolk County Community College. Additionally, Professor Klipstein has taught the Holocaust course at the College for thirty years. In 2006, he was added as the Holocaust scholar for the Center. During his time with the Center, Professor Klipstein has helped create and oversee events dealing with Holocaust education, including serving as the moderator for the annual "Conversation Among Survivors", an annual platform for Holocaust Survivors to share their personal history. Recently, Professor Klipstein appeared in a six-hour documentary, Hitler's Empire, where he discussed the Nazi summer camp, Camp Siegfried on Long Island among many other topics.

Visitors will wear masks and be socially distanced.
