In early 1967, the Beatles released a groundbreaking single, John Lennon's "Strawberry Fields Forever," backed by Paul McCartney's "Penny Lane." In its music, lyrics, arrangement, and subject matter, "Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane" changed the face of popular music forever.
Join composer/producer Scott Freiman as he takes Beatles fans young and old on “A Trip Through Strawberry Fields".
In this 90 minute multimedia presentation, Mr. Freiman transports his audience into the Abbey Road studio for a look at the revolutionary techniques used during the production of three Beatles’ masterpieces “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “Penny Lane,” and “A Day In The Life.” Using rare audio and video clips, as well as anecdotes about the creation of the songs, Mr. Freiman allows the audience to see and hear the evolution of these groundbreaking songs and discusses their lasting influence on popular music.
Scott Freiman is a composer, a musician, and a software entrepreneur.Mr. Freiman is the CEO of Qwire, which creates collaborative cloud-based software that addresses significant problems with music licensing and royalty payments for film and television.
Mr. Freiman is the creator of Deconstructing The Beatles, a series of multimedia presentations about the composition and production techniques of the Fab Four. Mr. Freiman has presented his lectures to sold out audiences throughout North America at theaters, museums and corporations, such as Pixar, Google, and Facebook. Mr. Freiman has also lectured at colleges and universities and has taught a 13-part course at Yale University entitled The Beatles in The Studio.
Mr. Freiman is featured in eleven Deconstructing the Beatles films currently showing in theatres and available on DVD and streaming.They include films on the Birth of the Beatles, the 1963 Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, the White Album, Deconstructing Abbey Road Side One, and Deconstructing Abbey Road Side Two.
