Maxine Rose Schur is an award-winning children’s book author and travel essayist. In March, her essay recounting her memories of her Jewish cousin Fritz Rinkel, who unknowingly married a former Nazi concentration camp guard, was published in Hadassah magazine. Maxine is the author of several books for young people that deal with little-known periods of Jewish history. She particularly enjoys discovering the astonishing breadth and depth of Jewish life in remote areas of the world and in little-known historical periods. Maxine will share this passion with us and answer questions about her work. She will also answer any questions you may have including about family memories or stories that you may be thinking of writing.
